It is that time of year again. I know most of you have already dusted off your skis and have started the ski season with a bang. The skiing has been fabulous. Enough about Loon--I have heard from Sugarloaf and they have once again set aside a week of lodging for us at the mountain. The good news is that the prices have not gone up and they are still willing to allow each of us to charge our own lodging as we did last year. The dates of the trip are March 14th through the 18th. Most of you went up on Sunday and came home on Thursday. Those of us that work at the mountain went up Monday and came home Friday. They seem to be very accommodating with the dates that work best for each of us. The welcome party will once again be on Monday the 15th and I know that we will be looking forward to celebrating St. Patrick's Day like we did last year with Jean and Jean on the dance floor and Herby giving the singers the music to play.  Maybe the chorus line will happen again too!

Our lodging once again includes that wonderful breakfast buffet and the perfect turn clinics. We will be staying at the Sugarloaf Summit Hotel as usual and the prices are $219.00 per person for three nights and $364.00 per person for five nights. It basically breaks down to about $146.00 per couple per night. If you are planning on coming as a single we may be able to find someone else that wants to share a room. Some rooms have two queen beds to accommodate this. 

AJ pulled up the list from last year for me and we have added a few that have expressed an interest in coming this year. If you know someone that is missing and is interested please forward this e-mail and then have them send it back to us with their intent to join the group. I have to send in a $500.00 non-refundable deposit to hold the dates so please let me know if you plan to attend. I have to have at least 20 people to get these prices. Our first deposit is due on Jan. 18th so time is of the essence. Final payments will be due by March 3rd. It looks like the first deposit will be 50% of your total lodging reservation.  Maine taxes will be added to the reservation. Your final payment will be charged to the same credit card as used for your deposit.

If you did not get a gold pass this year that will allow you to ski free at Sugarloaf then they will be charging you $40.00 per person per day of skiing.  When you call in your information be sure to register for the perfect turn clinics or for tickets if you are interested.
